Pastel allows you to collect client feedback on websites you're building easily. But to make the most of that feedback, you need to be able to efficiently act on it. Exporting Pastel comments to your favourite project management tool is one of the best ways to stay on top of feedback and make your clients happy.

Zapier allows you to connect Pastel to over 5,000 apps and build custom automations based on new Pastel comments. To get started, you'll need a Zapier account. If you don't already have one, you can create one at here.

Setting up a Zap

  1. To create a new Zap, you can build one from scratch or use one of our templates, found here.

  2. Whether you start from scratch or use one of our templates, you'll need to connect your Pastel account to Zapier. Once you select Pastel as a trigger in your Zap, you'll be prompted to enter your Pastel API token.

    1. You can find your API token at the bottom of your profile page: https://usepastel.com/settings/profile

  3. Once you've connected your Pastel account to Zapier, you can select the canvas for which you'd like to set up comment exporting.

    1. Note: Zaps run on a canvas level, so you'll need to set up a Zap for each canvas from which you'd like to export comments

  4. After selecting a canvas, you can either continue filling out the necessary information from the selected template or finish building your custom Zap.

  5. Once you've enabled a Zap, it will be triggered and for every new comment left on the selected canvas.
