Finding the canvas or comment you're looking for in Pastel is easy. Our dashboard and canvases both feature a simple search bar you can use to find anything.

In a Canvas

  • In a canvas, you can search the commenter's name or anything in the comment text. You can also sort comments in a canvas by either most recent or by page, as well as filter on Active, In Progress, In Review, or Resolved comments.

  • If you click on the search bar, you also get access to some additional filters you can apply. By clicking on the Filters button, you can filter comments by attributes like comment status, commenter name, page, timeframe, labels, and more.

  • When a canvas has many comments across multiple pages, click the 'All comments on current page only' toggle to filter the comments quickly. You will only see the comments left on that specific page you are on, making it easier to find the feedback comments related to that page.

You’ll still be able to navigate to other pages within the canvases and see which canvases have active, in progress, in review, and resolve comments. On website canvases, go into “browse” mode to do this and on design canvases, just click on another image or page in a PDF.

  • You now have the ability to filter comments within a canvas to only show comments that have new activities.

This allows you to easily find what comments are new and not have to "hunt for the red dot".

In case of an accidental click, 'Mark all as read' requires you to confirm before the comments are marked as read within the canvas.

On the Dashboard

  • And in the dashboard, you can search for canvases by the canvas name, website URL, or canvas creator.

Those are the basics of searching, sorting, and filtering in Pastel. Just head on over to any of your canvases in your dashboard to get started.
