Get feedback on HTML files - upload directly from your AI agent

Your AI agent can upload HTML straight to Pastel, so you can get feedback on static sites, presentations and proposals without hosting them first.

You can upload HTML files to Pastel to get feedback from your team and clients. Your AI agent can upload the HTML files directly to Pastel and get back a canvas link you can share with anyone. You don't need to host it first, set up a staging URL, or wait on a deploy just to show someone a draft.

What you can host

If it's HTML, you can get feedback on it in Pastel. That includes:

  • Static websites and landing pages

  • Presentations and slide decks

  • Proposals and one-pagers

  • Prototypes and HTML email templates

You can upload a single HTML file, or a folder or zip file that includes its CSS, JavaScript and images.

How the feedback loop works

  1. Ask your agent to "Deploy to Pastel." It uploads your HTML, Pastel creates a canvas, and your agent gets the canvas link.

  2. Share the canvas link. Your team or clients click on what they want changed and leave a comment, no login required.

  3. Ask your agent to "Check new Pastel comments and fix." It fetches the comments, makes the changes, replies and updates the comment status, then deploys the updated version to the same canvas.

Your agent already has the canvas link, so every round of feedback needs just a single prompt.

Connect your agent

To upload HTML, your agent needs to be connected to Pastel. There are two ways to do that, and both can upload HTML. Pick the one that fits where your agent runs.

Best for

Examples

Pastel CLI

Agents that run on your computer and can use a terminal

Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor

Pastel MCP server

Cloud-based agents that can't run terminal commands

Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Replit

If your agent supports both, either one works. Setup takes a minute or two:

Check that it worked

Start a new conversation and ask your agent to:

List my Pastel canvases.

If it comes back with your canvases, you're set up. If your agent doesn't seem to know about Pastel, start a fresh conversation. Most agents only pick up new tools and skills at the start of a session.

Get the most out of it

Your agent can build something and put it in front of reviewers in one go:

"Build a landing page for our spring sale, deploy it to Pastel, and give me the link."

When the feedback is in, one prompt handles the next round:

"Check all open Pastel comments and fix. Leave anything that needs a decision from me and tell me why."

Things worth knowing

Your agent acts as you. It can see and change exactly the canvases and comments that you can, and nothing more.

Sharing sends real email. Sharing a canvas sends an actual invitation to the addresses given, so agents are instructed to confirm the recipient list with you first.

Something not working?

HTML hosting is new and AI agents change quickly, so a step may not match what you see on screen. If something isn't working, let us know and we'll get it sorted.
